2017 November Business Meetings for Reinsurers (NBM)

On November 21-22, 2017 the XVI-th November Business Meetings for Reinsurers took place in Moscow.

The event was attended in total by 198 participants from 17 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Panama, Russia, Romania, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France and South Korea.

At the same time, 23 companies joined NBM for the first time.

The first day of the event, which was on November 21, began with greetings of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the NBM preparation, Deputy Head of the Reinsurance Department of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company - Igor Alekseev.

After a brief opening, Natalia Karpova, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Russian National Reinsurance Company", conducted a master class "Cyber Insurance in Russia: the beginning of a long way". Attention and active discussion by the participants point to the importance and relevance of the topic.

Also within the framework of the Business Meetings, the presentation of Union of Insurance Experts and Adjusters (UIEA) was held for the first time by Pavel Shaptsev, Managing Director of the UIEA. Questions and a lively discussion were the evidence for the audience's interest in the newly established Union.

At the end of business part of the first day, holiday “Beaujolais Nouveau” 2017, organized by the partner of the NBM - the Moscow Representative Office of SCOR (France) - was celebrated.

The second day, November 22, 2017, was completely devoted to meetings and negotiations.

Business atmosphere and possibility of free communication contributed to the achievement of main goal of the NBM held - to organize the maximum number of negotiations and meetings in a single place and in a short time.
