The XXII-nd Annual Reinsurance Conference took place in Moscow at Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya Hotel on April 11 - 12, 2018

The XXII-nd Annual Reinsurance Conference 

took place in Moscow at Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya Hotel on April 11 - 12, 2018 

The Conference ran under the theme  “Russian Reinsurance Market – Model Change”. 

The Conference was held with the support of the All-Russian Insurance Association.  

IPJSC Ingosstrakh traditionally became the general partner of the Conference. The event was also supported by TRUST RE and SCOR reinsurance companies. 

The Conference brought together 235 participants from 20 countries. There were representatives not only from the Western European markets, but also from the Middle East, the Central and Southeast Asia among them. The primary audience included directors and top managers of the insurance, reinsurance and broker companies, adjusters, independent experts. 

First day plenary discussion was devoted to the most pressing issues for the entire insurance and reinsurance community which are: situation and prospects for the development of reinsurance in Russia, changes in the structure, results of the state reinsurer activity, solvency indicators, insurance companies risks.

The issues were actively discussed by the participants: S.V. Gusar, Vice President of the All-Russian Insurance Association; S.V. Nikitina, Deputy Director of the Insurance Market Department of the Bank of Russia; R.Yu. Tochilin, Deputy Head of the Bank of Russia; I.V. Alekseev, Deputy Director of IPJSC Ingosstrakh Reinsurance Department; N.V. Galushin, President and Chairman of the Board of Russian National Reinsurance Company JSC, D.A. Talaev, Executive Director for Underwriting and Reinsurance, SOGAZ JSC; K.E. Turbina, Director of Moscow Representative Office of GenRe; A.A. Bredikhin, Director of the Financial Institution Rating Group, Analytical Credit Rating Agency JSC (ACRA); A.E. Yanin, Managing Director for RAEX Insurance Ratings (RA Expert).

Audience paid most attention to the speech of V.V. Chistyukhin, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia on the role of the regulator in the development of the Russian reinsurance market.

The 2nd and 3rd parts of the plenary discussion were devoted to the impact of international reinsurance events of 2017 on the Russian reinsurance market and experience of cooperation on acceptance of risks with international reinsurance markets.

The Conference second day began with an already traditional Business game “Second look, error analysis session”.

Section “Practice of underwriting and settlement of losses in the field of insurance of warehouse risks” and round table “First practice of insurance of cyber-risks in Russia and foreign experience” completed the Conference program.

The Conference was held in a friendly atmosphere. Lively discussions, free debates on problems, exchange of opinions, interaction between audience and speakers, interactive polls – all these allowed the participants to competently assess the situation and identify further areas of their professional activities.
