2016 November Business Meetings of Reinsurers (NBM)

November 22-23, 2016, the XV November Business Meetings of Reinsurers took place in Moscow.

Organizer  – All-Russian Insurance Association for Reisurers Committee.

Co-organizer –‘Delovoy Format’ (‘Business Format’) Group.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company became traditionally the General Partner of the Meetings.

The event was also supported by:

• Selecta IC LLC, as VIP-Partner;
• SCOR (France); GIC Re (India); Skala Insurance Broker LLC, as Partners.

The event was attended by 232 participants in total, representing 99 companies from 21 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, United Arab Emirates, Panama, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, and South Korea.

The welcome speech by Igor Alekseyev, Managing Director of Ingosstrakh, Chairman of the Organizing Committee in charge of NBM preparation, opened the first day of the event, November 22.

After a brief opening, Nikolay Galushin, President of the National Reinsurance Company, made a presentation of the company and introduced key managers and the scope of their activities.

During the November Meetings, the representatives of Chadbourne & Parke (Michelle George and Alexander Le) held a seminar on “Insurance Law 2015. The Game on an Equal Footing”. The seminar highlighted the key changes made to the laws of England in 2015, and provided practical compliance guidance to the brokers, persons reinsured, reinsurers and their advisors.

The second day, November 23, 2016, was entirely devoted to the meetings and negotiations.

The business atmosphere and the possibility to communicate freely contributed to the achievement of the main objective of the past NBM – maximizing the number of negotiations and meetings in a single place and in a short time.

At the end of the second business day, the Moscow representative office of SCOR (France), a regular partner of the NBM, organized for the participants of the November Business Meetings Beaujolais Nouveau 2016.
